Remarks:

  1. M. Tech theory courses will be supported by related experiments and final evaluation will be made in Laboratory Techniques I, II, and III.
  2. Each course will be designed in 50%teaching -50% student self-study but student must cover related course contents to fulfil basic requirement.
  3. Evaluation will be done in internal (50 marks) and end semester exam (50 marks) pattern. For interval evaluation (50 marks) minimum two assignments, presentations (as per syllabus requirement) and two internal tests mandatory. 
  4. Journal Club of Biotechnology (JCB) will be establish in order to discuss and critique related research that appears in scientific journals and a mandatory presence is required to fulfil the final credit for Masters Level. Student performance in JCB will be finally evaluated in Seminar-I and II. Head of Department will be an honorary chairperson of JCB and Faculty members will participate in a minimum of half of the journal club presentations. Student (PhD, Masters) will be designated a club leader for a period of a single semester. JCB meeting will be held twice a month.
